Meet Amy Zwirko
Amy Zwirko, founder and lead artist of Creative Crafts, has been passionate about art for as long as she can remember. From drawing on walls as a child to earning a degree in Fine Art, creativity has always been at the center of her life.
In 2017, Amy turned her passion into a business by founding Creative Crafts. Since then, she has taught hundreds of happy painters and crafters throughout Northern Virginia—including many who had never picked up a paintbrush before attending one of her classes.
Amy’s classes are designed to be approachable, encouraging, and fun for artists of every experience level. She believes that creativity should be enjoyable, not intimidating. Through music, laughter, and a welcoming atmosphere, she helps students relax, express themselves, and discover their artistic abilities.
Having worked with children, adults, and seniors, Amy understands that everyone learns differently. Her patient, step-by-step instruction ensures that every participant leaves with a project they can be proud of.
Artistic Inspiration
Amy draws inspiration from the beauty of rural life, including rustic barns, rolling countryside landscapes, vibrant gardens, and colorful florals. Her love of nature and local scenery is reflected throughout her artwork.
In addition to teaching classes, Amy has illustrated books for local author James Brown and is currently working on creative projects of her own. She enjoys plein air painting, participating in local art shows and craft fairs, and creating custom wall murals, live wedding paintings, and special event artwork.
Life Beyond the Easel
Amy has called the Warrenton area home for more than 20 years. She lives with her husband, Andy, daughter, Anna, and a small flock of lively backyard chickens who provide plenty of entertainment and inspiration.
Art is more than a profession for Amy—it’s her passion. She loves meeting new people, sharing creativity, and helping others discover the artist within.
We invite you to join one of Amy’s upcoming classes, book a private paint party, or schedule a fundraiser. We can’t wait to create with you!
